Bayern Munich: Crucial match for Kovac, Wenger ready

  • Mirko Laurenti
Bayern Munich are clearly in crisis, in Bundesliga they have collected just two points in the last three matches, slipping to -9 from the table-topping Borussia Dortmund. Coach Kovac seems like one of the main responsible of this tough moment. He has never been particularly appreciated by the whole team. After the 3-3 draw against Dusseldorf, the president Uli Hoeness ensured that the Croatian will remain the coach of Bayern, but only until Tuesday, when there will be the Champions League match with Benfica. In the event of a defeat, however, things may change already this week: "We will also hear the opinion of the players," explained Hoeness. According to Bild, Arsene Wenger will become the new coach of Bayern Munich if the Croatian will be sacked. Therefore, the former Arsenal coach is ready to take over from Kovac, now discouraged by the president and the team. Wenger is favoured by the lack of good coaches available. Moreover, as an Alsatian, he speaks perfect German, which is not unimportant.
