Berlusconi doesn't want Beijing group to become major shareholder at Milan
These are Milan's two options: the first, as is well known, is Bee Taechaubol, who has valued the club at 1 billion and plans to raise 480 for 48% of the shares. Notice the use of plans, as this is ancient history, and the Thai businessman has since failed to come up with the dough or the partners, and has until the end of the season to do so, a deadline established by Silvio Berlusconi.
The other, which we exclusively revealed to readers on Wednesday night, Silvio Berlusconi and Fininvest recently met with a consortium from Beijing, however the conditions are different: they want to own a majority of the club, and obviously have a bigger presence on the board.
This is something Berlusconi is resisting so far, as he wants to remain in control, something many Milan fans are surely fed up with.
