AC Milan’s Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci will feature against Sweden on Monday, despite having sustained a broken nose injury in the first leg on Friday in Scandanavia.

Sky Sport reported that Bonucci’s medical examinations revealed a slight fracture in the nasal septum, but he play for Italy with a protective mask when Italy will face Sweden in the second leg of the World Cup play-off.

Following the defeat in Sweden,  the Azzurri have already landed in Milan, where the second leg is scheduled to take place, with the men in blue currently a goal down and will hope for a comeback to qualify for the World Cup that will take place in Russia next year.

Attention though, will be given to Bonucci, who suffered the injury after colliding into Sweden star Ola Toivonen’s head during the early minutes of the first leg. The defender will undergo a radiographic examination soon.
