BREAKING: AS Roma will not extend Totti's contract

21 April at 13:53
It looks like three goals and one assist in the last three games are not enough to convince AS Roma to extend Francesco Totti's contract.

The captain's Olimpico deal expires in the summer and according to Sky Sport Italia's Roma reporter Angelo Mangiante the club's president James Pallotta has not changed his mind and will not renew Totti's deal.

Mangiante reports AS Roma would prefer not to part ways with Totti, though they want him to stay with an important role in the control room and not on the pitch anymore.

Totti, however, doesn't want to retire from professional football yet and could decide to continue his career in the MLS or under his former manager Claudio Ranieri at Leicester City in the Premier League.
