Breaking: Fabregas will be a Monaco player, the details

05 January at 18:40
Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas has reached an agreement with Monaco and is set to join the Ligue 1 giants in the January transfer window our very own Fabrizio Romano revealed. AC Milan had opened talks to sign the Spaniard but the Rossoneri could not match the Blues' asking price for the Spanish midfielder it would seem.

AC Milan had offered to sign the player on loan with an option to buy, whilst the player had been offered an 18-month contract. Monaco, on the other hand, are going to sign the player on a permanent deal as the Spaniard will be signing a three year contract with Monaco.

Milan's Leonardo tried to sign Fabregas until the very last moment but Chelsea only wanted to sell the player on a permanent deal as Monaco won the race in the end. More to come on the matter soon...
