Brocchi: 'Bacca apology will bring Milan players together'

24 April at 17:31

Milan manager Brocchi spoke to the media today about tomorrow's trip to Verona, where the Rossoneri hope to win what would only be their second Serie A game since early March.

With just two opponents defeated in league plan in seven games, the Diavolo's interim Coach is under considerable pressure, which wasn't eased when star striker Carlos Bacca tried to stare him down after being subbed last weekend.

With Milan drawing 0-0 against lowly Carpi, the Colombian striker (who has netted 15 League goals this season) wasn't happy at being taken off with twenty minutes to go.

Bacca would, however, later apologize to his team-mates in the dressing room, and was praised by his Coach for doing so.

"What Bacca said in the dressing room was very important, one of the most touching things I have been through as a manager. Gestures like these help improve the team's cohesion".

Milan go into tomorrow's match without star winger Giacomo Bonaventura, who limped off at the weekend and whose conditions "will be checked on Wednesday", Brocchi said.
