FIFA Best voting: Buffon names two better managers than Conte, snubs Messi and Neymar

Gigi Buffon did vote neither Lionel Messi nor Neymar as one of the best players of the last season, Fifa has revealed. The Italy legend was due to vote for the best player and best manager of the year as the captain of Italy national team. His choices are causing a huge debate around social media.

The Juventus and Italy captain picked up the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Luka Modric snubbing two stars who are regarded as the best players on earth alongside Ronaldo. No coincidence Neymar, Messi and Ronaldo were among the candidates to win the FIFA best player of the year, eventually won by the Portuguese star.

Fifa has also revealed the best three managers chosen by Gigi Buffon as well as by all the others captains, national team coaches and media.

The Italy star put Max Allegri and Zinedine Zidane ahead of his former Italy Juventus coach Antonio Conte, a surprising choice given the very strong relationship between the duo.
