Bundesliga superstar dismisses Man Utd links

Emil Forsberg claims that he’s focussed on RB Leipzig, and has dismissed rumours on links to Manchester United.

Recent reports had indicated that the Red Devils were “highly likely” to make a move for him, and there’s more: agent Hasan Cetinkaya also represents recent United acquisition Victor Lindelof.

The Swede has a lot to celebrate: his national side has just booted Italy out of the 2018 World Cup playoffs, and he's one of the hottest midfielders in the German league.

Yet the 26-year-old wasn't so receptive to talk of moving to the Premier League.

"I also read that in the papers," Forsberg told Bild about Mourinho's visit to Sweden, but added that currently "my focus is on RB."

The Swede has been playing superbly for surprise package RBL, coming up with an outrageous 19 Bundesliga assists last season, scoring ten goals since the beginning of the 2016-2017 campaign.

Speaking of his national side’s surprising qualification, Forsberg claimed that "nobody thought we were capable of this.

The group was already difficult. France and Netherlands are two really good teams. They said we ran out of luck after the playoffs draw, but we made it despite all that.
