Alexis Sanchez becomes target for Chelsea boss Conte

Chelsea have entered the race to sign 28-year-old attacker Alexis Sanchez from rival Premier League club Arsenal, according to reports from the Telegraph.

The Blues are facing the prospect of having next season without their forward Diego Costa, following his falling out with Blues boss Antonio Conte, where the fiery Italian manager told Costa that his services were no longer required at the club under his reign via text message.

Arsenal have been making moves in the window this summer, their club-record signing Alexandre Lacazette completed his move from French side Lyon on Wednesday. But the Gunners have an issue with star player Sanchez, as it is reported that the Chilean international is looking for a way out of the club, having only one year left on his contract to the North London side.

The player scored 30 goals in all competitions last season, so manager Conte, it is thought, has marked his name next to Real Madrid’s  Alvario Morata and Torino’s Andrea Belotti as suitable replacements.
