Chelsea warned: ‘Cavani wants Napoli return’

Former Napoli director of football Pierpaolo Marino believes Edinson Cavani wants to return to Napoli. Marino has released an interview with PiùEnne to reveal that the Psg star would be open to a return to the San Paolo.

“I think Cavani really wants to return to Naples”, Marino said.

“The biggest obstacle, however, is Psg. They don’t want to sell him but Cavani would take a pay cut for Napoli, it won’t be difficult for Napoli to reach an agreement with Cavani.”

Marino signed Cavani for Napoli in summer 2011. The Uruguay star joined the San Paolo in a € 12 million deal. Three years later he left the San Paolo for € 63 million.
Marino’s words should worry Chelsea given that the Premier League champions are regarded as the favourites to seal the transfer of Cavani in January given that the talented striker is not on good terms with Neymar and his Psg January exit is on the cards.
