Chelsea: why Abramovic wants to sack Sarri

15 May at 15:30
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly willing to sack Maurizio Sarri after the Europa League final. The Italian tactician has never been defended by the board during the whole season despite the criticism of many English media.

Sarri has reached Chelsea's targets: the Champions League qualification and the Europa League final. However, that doesn't seem to be enough for the Russian businessman as Sarri has never been a popular figure at Stamford Bridge, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The former Napoli boss didn't hide his frustration for the friendly that Chelsea will play one week before the Europa League finale in Baku. Chelsea didn't like it. The board prefers a yes man rather than a manager who complains for the club's decision. It already happened with Conte and the same could happen with Sarri. The Europa League final could be his last game in charge of Chelsea
