CONFIRMED! Napoli join Juve in race to sign prolific Serie B hit-man

Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani has released an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss revealing Napoli have make a transfer approach to sign the ‘Dolphins’’ prolific striker Gianluca Lapadula, scorer of 18 goals in 32 games this term.

“We didn’t sell Lapadula in January because we wanted him to focus on Pescara only.”
“A decision on his future has yet to be taken but we’ve already spoken to Aurelio De Laurentiis [Napoli president].”

Juventus attempted to sign the 26-year-old striker in the winter transfer window but the Old Lady was unable to find economic agreement with Pescara over Lapadula’s transfer.

Giuseppe Marotta put a € 5 million offer on the table and he would have allowed Lapadula to stay at Pescara for the remainder of the season.

Trouble is, Pescara had slapped an € 8 million price-tag on their most prolific striker, hoping to cash in even more money from the player’s sale this summer as many Serie A clubs would have been interested in welcoming Lapadula’s services.

Well, circumstances given, it seems they were right because, in the meantime, Napoli have joined Juve in the race to sign the player.
