Coronavirus in Italy: Serie A matches postponed, sporting events cancelled

Italy is currently in a state of high emergency with regards to the recent very fast increase in patients diagnosed with the Coronavirus and the situation also has its effect on the world of sports, as it was announced by the Prime Minister of the country that 'the Minister of Sport Spadafora intends to suspend all the sporting events scheduled for Sunday in Veneto and Lombardy'.

This was later confirmed also by Spadafora himself and also the Mayor of Milano Beppe Sala. The three Serie A matches postponed indefinitely are Atalanta-Sassuolo, Verona-Cagliari, Torino-Parma and Inter-Sampdoria.
