Coutinho talks resumed as Barcelona meet Liverpool

Barcelona and Liverpool will resume Coutinho talks in the coming days, according to a report of Mundo Deportivo. The Brazilian star wanted to move to the Nou Camp this past summer but the Reds refused to sell him.

Coutinho’s collapsed Barcelona move, however, did not stop the interest of the La Liga giants who will make a new attempt to sign him in the January transfer window.

According to the Catalan paper Kia Joorabchian will meet executives of Liverpool in the coming days. Joorabchian is part of Coutinho’s entourage and is an intermediary working for Barcelona as well.

Jorabchian will inform Liverpool bout Barcelona’s January offer which is expected to be in the region of € 110 million (€80 million plus € 30 million in add-ons).

Barcelona want to lower the player’s price-tag given that Coutinho won’t be allowed to play in the Champions League from January and Liverpool have reportedly promised the Brazilian that they would allow him to leave the club in the winter transfer window provided that the right offer is submitted.

Talks between the two parties will be resumed in the coming days, Coutinho could became a new Barcelona player in January.
