‘De Gea and Alisson the best in the world, Szczesny like Buffon’

Former Inter and Sampdoria goalkeeper Luca Castellazzi spoke to Sky Sport on Wednesday and revealed who, in his opinion, are the best goalkeepers in the world now: “I really like [Liverpool’s] Alisson. I’ve been following him for a long time and he keeps improving. I think he is the best with [ Manchester United’s] David De Gea.”

Speaking about Italian clubs, Castellazzi commented on the save of Juventus keeper Szczesny against Valencia yesterday night: “The header was powerful, that wasn’t an easy save at all. He was excellent because when you have to make these saves, the ball always enters the goal somehow. It’s not easy to touch the ball with all the hand.”

“It was an amazing save, similar to one that Buffon did a few years ago with Juventus. You can tell Szczesny has learned a lot from Gigi.”

Castellazzi has 234 appearances in Serie A. He player for Sampdoria, Brescia, Padova, Catania, Inter, Reggiana, Torino, Pescara and Monza. He retired in 2016.
