Mino Raiola’s impending ban seems to have extinguished the last of the transfer rumours that surrounded Napoli start Lorenzo Insigne in recent months. Today however the President Aurelio De Laurentiis has stirred the pot once more by claiming that Insigne asked to leave the club numerous times in the past few years, claiming that he felt unloved by the fans.

The Napoli president spoke during the forum "the football we want" organized by the Corriere dello Sport confirming that the will of the player will be decisive for his future.

"If Insigne will play in Naples next season? Insigne I understand is a player of Naples, he is Neapolitan.

He has always shown great attachment to the jersey, if then this great responsibility to be also Neapolitan played him in the past and could play an idiosyncrasy with those fans in the future, I say that they are not fans, I cannot of course oblige him to remain unwilling.
