Del Piero slams Juventus after draw against Barcelona

Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero talked to Sky Sport on Wednesday night to share his thoughts on the Old Lady’s 0-0 draw against Barcelona. The former Italy and Juventus star was not impressed with the performance of his ex team and did nothing to hide his disappointment: “Juventus struggled, they really did. Barcelona defended very well, especially when Dybala had the ball possession. They [Barcelona] didn’t want to lose, but didn’t want to win either.”

The performance of Gonzalo Higuain was also very disappointing but Del Piero defender the Argentinean: “He is an amazing finisher, he needs goal chances and needs to be involved in the final pass. Juventus struggled, they didn’t have too many goal chances. They are not 100% fit at the moment and everything becomes more complicated.”

This is not the first time Del Piero complains for Juventus’ style of play, one month ago he commented the Old Lady’s win against Sporting Lisbon claiming: “Juventus didn’t play well tonight and if you think of their style of play last season, it is clear that they have lost something. They don’t play well and they can’t afford to play this bad every time.”
