Departing Roma DS Sabatini wanted by Inter, AC Milan?

The transfer market is already heating up.... and not just for players, either, if Matteo Serra's sources are accurate.

We already mentioned that Inter liked Walter Sabatini, AS Roma's sporting director.

The man responsible for acquiring the likes of Miralem Pjanic, Marquinhos, Rajda Nainggolan (but also Norbert Gyomer, Nivolás Spolli and Juan Iturbe) is also being chased by another team: AC Milan.

In this scenario, he would presumably help Adriano Galliani out with transfers.

It is a well known fact that Giallorossi coach Luciano Spalletti isn't happy, and wants Walterone to stay. Roma are, however, already thinking of bringing in Marcello Carli, or of promoting Carlo Zecca, the front office's stats guru whose proximity to owner James Pallotta and increasing role in picking players is cited as one of the reasons for Sabatini's departure.

The Lupa isn't the only team with a lameduck DS. Though he's been responsible for buying the likes of Nikola Kalinic, Borja Valero and a host of exciting players, Fiorentina's mercato man, Daniele Pradé, has yet to agree to terms with Fiorentina for the coming seasons.

Having worked superbly with promoted Bologna, Pantaleo Corvino is said to be in contact with the Viola, the club he helped rebuild and turn into a strong side, boasting such buys as Adrian Mutu, Stefan Jovetic and Luca Toni.

Bologna are otherwise thinking of hiring former player Marco Di Vaio, or current head of scouting at Roma, Pasquale Sensibile.
