Do Juventus regret not selling Alex Sandro to Chelsea?

Juventus left-back Alex Sandro is a long time target of Chelsea. The Blues made several offers to sign the Brazilian last summer and the player had even reached an agreement with the Premier League champions.

Despite that, Juventus rejected every offer they received as they had already sold the likes of Leonardo Bonucci and Dani Alves. The Old Lady knew she couldn’t weaken her defence selling another key part of the defensive department and every offer made by the Blues, even one in the region of € 70 million, was rejected by the Serie A giants.

The former Porto star, however, is failing to live up to expectations so far this season. The Brazilian has been registering several disappointing performances and Max Allegri has done nothing to show his disappointment.

Alex Sandro has already been benched several times this season and although Juventus still believe he is one of the best left-backs in the world they expect their star to have better performances in the coming matches.

Meantime Chelsea have resumed talks with the player’s entourage. It is of course too early to talk about a possible summer move for the Brazilian but if the Old Lady won’t see any improvement during the current campaign a possible sale at the end of the season could be o the cards.
