Everton eye surprise move for Allegri to replace under-fire Silva

English Premier League outfit Everton are eyeing a surprise move for former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri to replace under-fire Marco Silva, as per Daily Star.

The Toffees are currently placed in the relegation zone with seven points from first eight league matches which put manager Silva’s job at risk.

Therefore, as per the latest development, Everton’s representatives have already established contact with Allegri’s camp in order to replace the former Watford manager if things don’t improve in the coming days.

Everton is the third Premier League club linked with the former AC Milan manager after Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 52-year-old is out of job ever since leaving Juventus in the summer of 2019 after spending five seasons with the Turin-based club.

During that time, Allegri has won five consecutive league competitions with the Old Lady, but could not deliver success on the European stage despite guiding them to final twice in 2014 and 2016.
