Everton: Koeman reacts to sacking on social media

Everton sacked Ronald Koeman yesterday following the Toffees’ bad start to the season. The Premier side sit 18th in the table with just 8 points in 9 games and the manager, as usual, paid the highest price for the team’s bad start to the season.

The Dutch manager has reacted to his sacking on social media several hours after Everton’s official announcement.

“I would like to thank Billy Kenright, Farhad Moshiri and the Everton board for the opportunity to have managed a great club and the fans as well for their passionate support for the club.”

“Naturally, I am disappointed at this moment but I wish the team good luck in the future.”
Everton have yet to appoint their next manager. Walter Mazzarri is being linked with managing the Toffees although the Italian has also emerged as a possible replacement of Bilic at West Ham.

Koeman was appointed Everton boss in June 2016.
