Exclusive: agent offers Spurs and Man Utd target to Juventus

Tottenham and Manchester United target Andre Gomes’ agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly pushing for a move to Juventus, CalcioMercato exclusively understands.

The Portuguese midfielder nearly joined Tottenham on deadline day this past summer before a move fell through, despite Juventus’ regular interest in acquiring his services since the summer of 2016.

Before Barcelona signed Gomes from Valencia in 2016, the Old Lady were very much interested in bringing him to Turin, as were Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici. While they are still very much keen on bringing him to Juve, Jorge Mendes is reportedly trying to force through a move away from the Nou Camp.

He is aware of Juve’s interest in his client and can look to bring forth a loan deal in January, with an option to make the deal a permanent one.

Gomes has been told by Ernesto Valverde that he is nothing more than a back-up at Barcelona and the midfielder doesn’t want that to happen at this point in his career. Talks of a move to Juventus have been going on since June and a move can happen in January.
