Exclusive: Al-Hilal make offer to sign Atalanta striker

Calciomercato exclusively understand that Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal have made an offer to sign Atalanta striker Papu Gomez.

Papu Gomez has acquired the reputation of being one of the most prolific strikers in the Serie A over the last three seasons. The Argentine joined Atalanta from Metalist Kharkiv in the summer of 2014 and has scored five times, assisting just as many times in 18 appearances this season.

Calciomercato's Daniele Longo understands that Atalanta have an offer of about 15 million euros on the table from Al-Hilal, who are very serious about signing the Argentine.

Independiente too have also confirmed their interest in the striker, but the Bergamo based side currently value the 30-year-old at 20 million euros.

Atalanta are already believed to be looking at a replacement in Emiliano Rigoni, who is currently on loan from Zenit. Gian Piero Gasperini though, sees Gomez as an indispensable part of his side and would not want to let him leave.
