Everton have matched AC Milan’s asking price for out of favour striker M’Baye Niang, sources have exclusively told calciomercato.com. Everton have made an offer close to € 18 million which is just as much as AC Milan demand to let the French striker leave the San Siro on a permanent deal.

Niang, a former Watford loanee, netted two goals and registered two assists during his six-month loan spell with the Hornets. The Frenchman, however, decided to make return to AC Milan at the end of his loan spell in the Premier League but Vincenzo Montella has no long term plans for him at the San Siro.

Sources close to the club have told our reporter Daniele Longo that the two parties have almost reached an agreement whilst Niang is tempted to make return to the Premier League and is evaluating the offer of the Toffees.

‚ÄčEverton have also asked information about Gianluca Lapadula but the Italian is in no rush to leave AC Milan and if he had to he’d prefer to remain in Italy.
