AC Milan and Napoli have entered transfer talks to sign AZ Alkmaar midfielder Markus Henriksen, calciomercato.com has exclusively learned. The 24-year-old’s agent Jim Solbakken has confirmed to CM.com’s Federico Albrizio that he has received calls from both Italian clubs.

“There have been contacts with AC Milan and Napoli. Moving to Italy is a possibility for the future, but he has offers from other countries as well. Given the offers he’s receiving I think my Henriksen is going to leave AZ in the summer.”

Both Napoli and Milan have been liked with the player in the past. The partenopei wanted to sign him last January, before picking Alberto Grassi from Atalanta. Scorer of 19 goals in 41 appearances with his club, Henriksen has been scouted by AC Milan several times. The rossoneri transfer campaign, however, is blocked until mid June due to ongoing negotiations between Fininvest and an undefined Chinese group over the acquisition of a majority share in the club.

Italian player agent Patrick Bastianelli is also the representative of the player for negotiations with Italian sides.
What about foreign clubs interested in the player? Swansea and Everton have already made better offers than both Napoli and AC Milan, whilst Shalke 04 are interested to bring him to the Bundesliga. His price-tag? Somewhere around € 7-8 million.
