Exclusive: Inter pushing to sign Liverpool defensive target

Inter want to sign Liverpool defensive target Dalbert, a Brazilian left-back under contract with OGC Nice. The 23-year-old is one of Europe’s most promising full-backs and the player has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A giants.

Our reporter Pasquale Guarro claims Inter wanted to sign Dalbert before the beginning of the summer training camp, but pre-season trainings in Brunico have already begun and the player won’t be joining his new teammates in the coming days.

Negotiations between the two clubs, in fact, are stalling. OGC Nice want to sell the player for his €30 million release clause, but sources have told Calciomercato.com that an offer in the region of € 25 million would still be enough for the Ligue 1 giants.

As of today, Inter do not want to offer more than €18 million plus bonuses, but Luciano Spalletti is pushing for the signing of the 23-year-old and that could convince executives of the nerazzurri to match the economic demands of OGC Nice.
