Flamengo is set to receive a large profit on the sale of their crown jewel, 18 year old Lincoln. The precocious midfielder has attracted significant attention from major clubs such as Juventus, Real Madrid, and Manchester United. Now, it appears, the Bianconeri are prepared to lock him up before a bidding war between the clubs ensues.

Juventus sporting director Paratici has had Lincoln’s name pinned for years, and has followed the prospect’s advancement for a long time. Yet, he has never gotten to the point of making an investment based on the prices asked by the Brazilian club. Now, it appears he’s ready.

According to Calcio Mercato sources, Juventus are determined to bring him to Allianz Stadium, and don’t want a bidding war. They’re still stung by the move to Madrid of his Flamengo teammate Vinícius Júnior. They don’t want to lose another target.

As of now, there haven’t been any detailed contacts between the clubs, but expect that to change very soon.
