Exclusive: Juventus close to securing swap deal with Genoa

Calciomercato exclusively understand that Juventus are close to sealing a swap deal with Genoa involving Stefano Sturaro and Cristian Romero.

Although, Sturaro was loaned out to Sporting Lisbon in Portugal this past summer, the move didn't quite work out because of a knee injury that kept him out of action. Now that the player has been recalled, he is close to going back to the club that him a star.

We exclusively understand that Juve and Genoa are close to agreeing a swap deal involving Sturaro and Romero, after a meeting was held earlier today to strike a breakthrough in talks about the same.

People from both the parties met a prominent hotel in Milan to speed up the negotiations and Genoa are now close to resigning Sturaro on an initial loan deal with an option to sign him on a permanent basis next summer.

Romero, who was also an Inter target, arrived from Argentine club Belgrano this past summer has already impressed at Genoa. He is valued at about 25 million euros by his club and the 20-year-old is keen on a move to the bianconeri.
