Exclusive: not only Napoli, Juve also consider January bid for Vrsaljko

Napoli are not the only club interested in signing Atletico Madrid right-back Sime Vrsaljko as Juventus are also pondering a January bid for the talented Croatian star, our transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano reports.

The former Sassuolo ace is a January target of Napoli as the Serie A giants are keen to replace their injured star Faouzi Ghoulam. The latter is a natural left-back but Sarri would move Elseid Hysaj on the left-hand side of the pitch if Napoli sign Vrsaljko in the January window.

Trouble is, Juventus have also joined the race to sign to sign the Croatia International who has been struggling with game time in his one-year and a half spell in the Spanish capital.

The player would be open to a move away from Atletico but the Colchoneros do not want to sell the defender in the January window. Both Juventus and Napoli still need to reach an agreement with the La Liga giants who are not open to sell Vrsaljko at any price. At least for the moment.
