EXCLUSIVE Romano: Juve's plan for André Gomes

14 April at 12:22
Juventus are seeking a new midfielder, and, as reported in the last days, their main target is Valencia 22-year-old André Gomes. The Piedmont’s club scouts have been observing the Portugal international for a long time while the bianconeri’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta and his right hand Fabio Paratici have already talked with the player’s agent – the powerful Jorge Mendes.
Part of the former Benfica man’s ownership is owned by an investment fund, so that the bianconeri will have to be extremely attentive if they will start a negotiation: the Serie A defending champions want to be sure that all the requests will be satisfied, and now Mendes knows it. However, to bring Gomes to Turin, Juve will need between €45 million and €50 million.
Moreover, the Portuguese midfielder is also a target for Manchester United, as he is admired by the Red Devils’ next manager Jose Mourinho, and it seems that Mendes has promised his client to “the Special One”: for this reason, Juve will have to be extremely quick and make an important offer.
