Fiorentina, Della Valle searches for his future Sporting Director. Corvino remains in pole
Corvino remains the favourite for the post because Fiorentina needs a DS who can negotiate deals to take some of the current staff off the payroll. We’re not talking about re-sizing the squad, but certainly a little something extra is needed.
Other names high on the list are Baldini, a man used to working within budget constraints and Sartori, after his diligent work at both Chievo and Atalanta and a man who is respected by the Della Valle family. The return of Corvino however, will be especially pleasing for Diego Della Valle, who is still unsure about which direction to take the club forward and will not make any decisions regarding executive appointments until the end of the season. Finally, there is Prade, the man currently in the role at the Artemio Franchi. There remains an outside chance that he could remain in post after a meeting with the president on Thursday.
