    Fiorentina fans criticize January signings as Viola flounder

    Fiorentina are having a difficult time of it at the moment. Winless in over six weeks, the Viola are having to deal with a tired squad, rumours of Paulo Sousa leaving at the end of the season, and a rebellios fanbase. The Ultras and the more dedicated supporter groups have been vocal in their disapproval of the brothers who lead the club, arguing that they're in it more for the money than to create a winning team. 

    Having briefly led Serie A and dazzled Europe with their beautiful football, the Viola now languish in fifth place, having been overtaken by Inter Milan. And now 7Bello - one of the club's eldest and most representative fan groups - has laid into the Viola's January transfers, leaving a banner (pictured above) in front of the stadium which states that "only shoemakers" have done well from the arrivals. This weekend's 2-0 defeat at Empoli has done little to calm the fans' temper.

    It's been a turbulent season for Fiorentina, despite achieving results that are positive overall. They have six games (their opponents include Juventus, Sassuolo and Lazio) to turn things around.
