Former Milan defender turns down 2.2m a year deal from Qatari side

Former AC Milan full-back Ignazio Abate has rejected a 2.2 million euro per season from Qatari side Al-Gharafa.

Abate left Milan on a free contract in the summer and has yet to sign with a new club. The Italian still has much to offer and it is believed that he would rather stay in Europe than move to Asia at this stage in his career.
