From Spain: Barcelona want to sign Juventus star, Chelsea target
The Italian has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, but the move fell through after Mattia Caldara left for AC Milan as part of Leonardo Bonucci's move back to Juve.
Spanish outlet Sport state that Barcelona are desperate to sign a central defender in January or in the summer and they see Rugani as someone who will be a very viable option to sign.
Chelsea are still after Rugani and he'd be keen on a move, but Barcelona could make an offer and steal the Italian as he will consider a January switch if a decent offer comes in.
Chelsea's Andreas Christensen is also a target, but the Blues have refused to let him leave, meaning Barca have shifted their attention to Rugani.
The 24-year-old has struggled for gametime this season, having appeared only thrice in the Serie A.
