From Spain: Manchester City prepare bid for Alex Sandro

21 November at 22:11
According to Spanish journal El Mundo Deportivo, Manchester City are readying an offer in the summer for Juventus wing-back Alex Sandro.

It’s reported that Pep Guardiola wants the 25-year-old Brazilian to join his revolution at the Etihad Stadium next season and will try to tempt the bianconeri to part with their player with a mega-offer at the end of the current campaign. Juventus would be reluctant to part with the player they brought in from Porto for €26 million in 2015 and someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the club since his arrival.

Adept at playing either as a left-back or in midfield, Juve boss Massimo Allegri has even hinted that he may push the player further forward for Tuesday night’s Champions League match against Sevilla. A recent report for Italy suggested that Sandro is now worth around €45 million; not bad for a player that some onlookers thought Juventus had paid well over the odds for in the summer of 2015.
