Galliani to be offered Real Madrid position?

Long time AC Milan sporting director Adriano Galliani has been without a soccer job for the first time in 31 years since Silvio Berlusconi sold the team earlier this year. Now, it appears, the Italian may be taking a new office soon.

MilanLive is reporting that Real Madrid head Florentino Perez is prepared to offer him a position on the club’s Board of Directors. Though the position won’t be nearly as hands-on as his previous role with the Rossoneri, it would provide on of the most respected soccer minds the opportunity to be part of the sport he’s dedicated his career to.

Prior to the sale, when it became clear he wouldn’t remain in that position, Galliani was tipped to become the head of Serie A, which he served as from 2002-2006. Since the sale, however, Galliani has been the president of Mr. Berlusconi’s media company, Mediaset Premium. At 73-years-old, he doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone.
