Genoa president rules out January departure of Barcelona, Juve and AC Milan targets

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi spoke to Secolo XIX about the upcoming winter market and the mistakes committed during this year.

"In the midfield, we need a pair of players with quality. We made an offer for Krunic. Sturaro? He is an idea that we have and I am convinced that he can arrive. He will cost us a little but he is an investment for the future. He will not be ready, in fact, for one or two months since he’s currently injured, but he wants to join us," he said.

Meanwhile, the first incoming arrival is Jandrei: "He is one of the best goalkeepers in Brazil. We decided to invest in him because Inter could take Radu back and we must not let ourselves be caught unprepared".

Preziosi also reiterated that, until the end of the season, no one of the most requested players of Genoa will leave: "No one moves until June because we need Kouame, Piatek and Romero. So far, there have been lots of discussions but no offer has arrived yet".

The president of Rossoblu also returned to comment on the three changes in the bench in the past few months: "The first mistake was to confirm Ballardini, it was a choice that I was not convinced of. I did it with the goal of keeping the peace with the fans and making a strong team. Then, we made mistakes on the market and with Juric".

However, Preziosi is convinced that this time his choice to hire Prandelli will be the winning one: "In the next few months everything will stabilize and there will be less suffering. He gives me great confidence, with him we can open a winning cycle."
