Giampaolo is right: Quagliarella is Samp's Ronaldo, the numbers confirm

When Giampaolo claimed that Quagliarella is his Cristiano Ronaldo, he wasn't joking. The Italian manager has simply let the numbers speak, which certainly prove that Quagliarella is a world-class striker.

Tomorrow morning, Juventus will be up against an experienced striker, whose awareness has matured over time, making him a danger in the box. In fact, Quagliarella is among the top 34 goalscorers in the league's history, having scored 138 goals just like Enrico Chiesa.

This season, the 35-year-old has scored 11 goals in 17 appearances, just one goal less than Ronaldo has scored in one more game. Not counting penalties, then he would be tied with Piatek, who's currently topping the charts with 13 goals.

In other words, Giampaolo's statement cannot be considered as a joke, but rather as a correct assumption, at least if you look at the number.
