Rumors were flying around that Griezmann was close to leaving Atleti and has held talks with Barcelona. Marca had reported earlier today that the Frenchman has held a meeting with the club to announce that he is looking to leave.
And now, the World Cup winner has announced officially that he is leaving in an official statement that he gave on the club's official website.

The statement saw Griezmann say:
"It's been incredible 5 years, thank you very much for everything, you will always be in my heart."Our transfers correspondent Fabrizio Romano understands that Barcelona are in talks to sign the former Real Sociedad man and are willing to trigger his release clause of 125 million euros.
This could open a door for Paulo Dybala's possible move to Atletico in the summer, in an attempt to replace the outgoing Griezmann.
