How Fiorentina signing Manchester United starlet will help Napoli
United have been wanting to sign a central defender for sometime now, as Milenkovic and Sampdoria star Joachim Andersen continue to get linked with the Old Trafford based side.
And the La Viola have been linked with a move for Andreas Pereira, who, after spending two years on loan at Granada and then Valencia, is yet to become a regular at Old Trafford. While Fiorentina don't need really need Pereira immediately, but it will open up Napoli's path of signing Jordan Veretout from the Stadio Artemio Franchi based outfit.
The partenopei have been eyeing a move for the Frenchman since the last few months and the contacts have been there too. But Veretout has come leaps and bounds at the La Viola and interest in him is also there from Inter Milan.
While Andreas Pereira will benefit from playing regular football, Manchester United will get what they want- a centre back. Fiorentina will get a proper like for like replacement for a player that Napoli wanted.
