Inter accept improved offer from Man Utd for Croatian star, deal to be finalised next week

Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic is about to salute Inter Milan after the Nerazzurri accepted an improved offer from Manchester United. Calciomercato.com has learned that having already had a €30M bid rejected, the Premier League giants have submitted a new offer of €52M and Inter chiefs have given the green-light for the 28-year-old to make the move to Old Trafford.

Perisic has been one of Jose Mourinho’s main transfer targets this summer and negotiations are believed to have started back in March when the Portuguese tactician travelled to Zagreb to meet with the player’s representatives. Now it’s understood that the Croat will almost double his yearly salary in England from €3M-a-season to over €5M.

Reports suggest that the deal will be finalised next week and despite incoming coach Luciano Spalletti’s claims that the player will not be leaving the San Siro, the power brokers at the club have a different idea as they look to exit from the Financial Fair-Play restrictions imposed on them by FIFA.
