Inter, Ausilio: ‘Ozil won’t leave Arsenal in January...’

Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio talked to Premium Sport ahead of the nerazzurri away clash to Benevento. The Serie A giants are looking for a new defender and a new attacking midfielder and Mesut Ozil is being linked with a move to the San Siro.

Ausilio, however, has confirmed that the Germany star won’t leave Arsenal in January.

“We are studying our squad, we are scouts everywhere and they look at every kind of player. I don’t think players like him [Ozil] will be leaving in January. Spalletti knows this team has room from improvement, that’s what we are working on.”

“A new centre-back? We are looking for new opportunities but we have D’Ambrosio and other Primavera team players.”

“Consistency is needed. Look at Napoli, they believed in their project and results are there, Sarri has had highs and lows but the club gave him time and now they are among the top European clubs. We have begun our path with a great manager.”
