Inter-Icardi: Wanda can agree to €250m release clause on one condition

Inter and Mauro Icardi are negotiating a contract renewal and it is indeed a complicated deal for both parties, as they seem more distant than ever from reaching an agreement. According to Corriere dello Sport, the release clause set in the Inter captain's contract is one of the main aspects slowing down the deal.

Icardi's wife-agent Wanda Nara insists on the release clause, as she did in the summer of 2016. For Inter the orientation is either to remove the clause or raise it to 250 million euros, a figure higher than the 222 million paid by PSG for Neymar. Wanda could say yes to this proposal, but only in the case that Icardi would receive a proportionate salary, that is, more than 10 million euros per season.

Only recently, Icardi's agent spoke of the interest of Real Madrid and Barcelona in the striker and indicated that a renewal is 'far away'.
