Inter linked to €16.5m Barca defender
He is one of three defenders the Nerazzurri want to sign, including Dalbert Henrique of Nice, and Jose Luis Gaya of Valencia.
Digne, a former PSG and Roma player, is not the Beneamata’s priority, as they still see
Henrique as their Number 1 target. If the Brazilian doesn’t move to the San Siro, however, the French international would be seen as the ideal target.
The 23-year-old, however, has the advantage of having already played in Italy, and under Inter’s new sporting director, Walter Sabatini, the two having worked together at Roma.
A former Lille player, Digne was expected to play a starring role at the Nou Camp after being signed last summer, but only made 14 Liga starts.
He was signed for €16.5 million by the Catalans.
Gaya, for his part, is seen as one of the most promising young defenders in La Liga, and is a valid alternative.
