Inter Milan news, Marotta’s plan to sign Man U and Juve target

When Beppe Marotta announced he would be leaving Juventus, very few expected to see the CEO return to football so soon. The businessman is set to take up a role at Juventus’ rivals Inter Milan and he is beginning to get to work, planning his first batch of transfers for the Nerazzurri.

One such player linked to the club is Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who Marotta opened dialogues with Claudio Lotito about in the summer; the then-Juve CEO trying to sign the Serb for the Bianconeri. Marotta will use this channel with Lotito in order to make a move for Inter, perhaps in the summer of 2019.

Lazio valued Milinkovic-Savic at over €120m this summer, with Lotito reportedly rejecting offers of close to this figure. Next summer, Milinkovic-Savic could be available for less, with the Serbian struggling to find form so far this season. Additionally, Lazio are said to have an eye on Inter youngster Facundo Colidio, who the Nerazzurri signed from Boca Juniors for €7m in September 2017.
