Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly still about 2 million euros away from finalizing a deal with Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin.

Although, a deal is close to conclusion, with Godin expected to join the nerazzurri on a free transfer next summer instead of joining this month, La Repubblica state that Inter are still about 2 million euros away from an agreement.

Godin wants a wage of 8 million euros a season, while Inter's offer has been for about 6 million euros a season. They are yet to agree what Godin is paying because of the FFP restrictions imposed on them by UEFA.
