Inter News: Real Madrid's Kroos the dream of the summer transfer market

Inter dreams of a top profile for the summer. If it was possible, explains  Corriere dello Sport, Marotta and Ausilio would already bring one in January, but they know that the Settlement Agreement signed with UEFA (and expiring on June 30) does not allow room for manoeuvring.

But for the summer transfer market, Inter are looking for a luxury midfielder, and Toni Kroos is on the top of the wishlist of the Inter management. The Real Madrid midfielder has a 300 million release clause in his contract but is no longer certain to remain in the Spanish capital.

The case of Cristiano Ronaldo teaches: if someone wants to leave the Santiago Bernabeu and there is the ok of Perez, the amount of the clause is not binding. For the moment, Kroos is considered out of a reach but in a few months, the situation could be different, with Mauro Icardi possibly going the other way.

In Spain, they are convinced that together with a top player (Neymar or Mbappe), next summer Perez will aim to sign a striker and Icardi is one of the most preferred players. Marotta and Ausilio will not discuss the price of Icardi but will verify if the conditions exist to sign Kroos, an element that would be fundamental also for his Champions League experience.
