Much like the negotiations with Skriniar, Inter are also taking their time with the renewal of Icardi, whose contract expires in 2021. 

 

According to Corriere Dello Sport, the Nerazzurri would like to remove the release clause in the current contract. However, Icardi's agent and wife, Wanda Nara, is only willing to increase its value in proportion with the new salary. In other words, the higher the salary, the more the release clause will be worth.
