Inter president reveals future of Arsenal star

Inter president Erick Thohir has recently talked about the nerazzurri winter transfer strategies. A few days ago the Indonesia businessman claimed Inter would have not finalized a player-swap deal involving Mesut Ozil and Joao Mario.

Inter’s no. 1 has now given one more update on the future of Ozil who is being heavily linked with a move to the San Siro in January.

The contract of the Germany star expires at the end of the season and Inter are reported to be interested in signing the 29-year-old in January.

“We are thinking about how this team can be improved. We are still looking for new players but we have great scout everywhere. I am not sure Ozil will leave Arsenal in the January window but Spalletti knows which players we need to improve this squad.”

Calciomercato.com reported earlier last week that Inter have been offered Ozil although the player’s salary is too high for the club’s finances. Inter could make an attempt to sign him only if he lowers his salary demands.
