Inter: Ramires blocks Diaz, Ausilio & Sabatini looking for solutions

Inter have had their eyes on San Lorenzo's Chilean international defender Paulo Diaz for quite some time but before they make a move they have to resolve an administrative problem.

The defender, born in 1994, is a non-EU national and Inter have only 1 non-EU slot left at their disposal until the end of June 2018, with the other slot having been occupied by Brazilian full-back Dalbert who they signed this past summer. The Nerazzurri intend to use that second slot by signing former Chelsea midfielder Ramires who currently plays for Inter's sister club Jiangsu Suning.

The solution could be that Inter Sporting Director's Piero Ausilio and Walter Sabatini negotiate a deal with Diaz club now in order to beat the competition but not make the transfer official until June. The Nerazzurri are prepared to spend €6 million on Diaz who can play in all positions in defence as well as in central midfield.
